About the Residency Program
The Emergency Medicine Residency Program at the George Washington University is sponsored by the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in cooperation with its affiliate at the INOVA Fairfax Hospital Center.
The Department of Emergency Medicine at George Washington University has been a full academic department within the School of Medicine and Health Sciences since 1981. The faculty are fully integrated into the activities of the medical school, the Medical Faculty Associates, and the clinical, educational, and research endeavors of the School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
We believe that the success of our program over the past 20 years is directly correlated with the breadth and intensity of clinical experiences, the robust and direct educational program, and an environment that promotes clinical investigation and personal growth.
