Dermatology

Welcome

The Division of Dermatology at SIU Medicine focuses on education, research and clinical care as it relates to conditions affecting the skin, hair and nails. We offer patients a diverse range of treatments for a variety of skin conditions while always taking into consideration each patient’s specific goals and concerns. Our board-certified and board-eligible dermatologists have access to advanced technology and evidence-based interventions to diagnose and treat conditions like psoriasis, acne, eczema and skin cancers including melanoma, basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma. Our doctors also offer our patients the latest innovations and techniques in subspecialties including cosmetic dermatology, pediatric dermatology and dermatologic surgery. Graduates of the SIU Medicine Dermatology Residency Program have a 100 percent board certification rate and are exposed to a rigorous curriculum, which emphasizes both medical and ethical considerations of the field, including health equity and antiracism.
